Job Title : Community Nurse
Based at : Downtown Edmonton
Reports to : Homeless Services Senior Manager
Hours of work : 40 hours per week

This position functions as part of a diverse team within a Homeless Shelter/Addictions & Recovery setting. Patients present with various physical health concerns, mental health concerns, addictions as well as other social barriers e.g. homelessness, lack of income. The nurse case manager is a member of the health care team who utilizes the nursing process, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills to provide holistic care to individuals and families.
The nurse assists clients to achieve their optimal physical, emotional, mental, spiritual health and well-being by assessing, coordinating, administering and evaluating the provision of health services and other resources in collaboration with the inter-professional team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Job Type: Full Time
Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
Motivated and have the ability to work well independently and within a team
Ability to work well under time pressure
Strong analytical skills and ability to perform critical analysis
Excellent communication skills (oral/written)
Superior listening skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and a full understanding of professional ethics with an emphasis on customer service (staff members in different departments, coworkers and peers)
