Introduction:

Do you have great attention to detail and the ability to keep a large variety of inventory organized? Evergreen is looking to hire a full time Beverage & Inventory Coordinator to help support our events, manage logistics related to beverage sales, and strengthen our ties with local breweries and vineyards that support our local mandate. 

The Beverage & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for the buying, pricing and inventory management of beverages for events at Evergreen Brick Works. The Beverage & Inventory Coordinator will support internal and third party events, as well as general inventory management for beverage sales across Evergreen Brick Works.

About the Role: 

The Beverage & Inventory Coordinator plays a critical role within the Hospitality and Events team, ensuring that beverage sales for internal and third-party events at Evergreen are well organized, profitable, and exceed client expectations. The Beverage & Inventory Coordinator works closely with other team members to support event execution, as well as the Finance Department to manage inventory. The Beverage & Inventory Coordinator also works onsite at events to oversee the execution of the beverage program. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the execution of beverage service at events and, including client tastings and
  • recommendations, beverage logistics (including purchases and returns) and overall beverage coordination
  • Support Event Managers to finalize beverage requirements and logistics for events
  • Help to oversee beverage service staff onsite at events
  • Order product required for all events based on inventory counts and client requirements
  • Maintain secure and organize beverage storage
  • Develop strategic relationships with suppliers and integrate new products into the Evergreen beverage program
  • Help enforce and maintain liquor regulations as set out by the A.G.C.O.
  • Help to curate, analyze and review beverage package and offerings to remain current and represent the Evergreen mission and brand
  • Create/Update Beverage Documentation to facilitate Event staff training
  • Generate quarterly reports to outline profit and loss data
  • Assist with coordinating staffing related to beverage sales
  • Ensure accurate consumption records are maintained
  • Undertake monthly inventory counts and reconciliation
  • Maintain and improve beverage control policies and procedures
  • Set up and implement systems for safe beverage handling and cleaning
  • Contribute to positive workplace culture and great internal communication

About You: 

You excel in the following areas:

You have the following qualifications:

  • Enthusiasm for learning new things and working with a team
  • 2-4 years of experience in the hospitality industry
  • 2-4 years of experience with inventory management and costing
  • Smart Serve certified required
  • Strong computer skills and experience with MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel, as well as Caterease, and Sage
  • First-aid/CPR certification an asset

Additional Information: 

Reporting Relationships:

  • Supervised by: Senior Manager, Events & Logistics
  • Provides informal support and oversight to Event Supervisors and service staff 

Working Conditions:

  • Position is based out of Evergreen's head office at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto
  • Office environment (some flexibility), with onsite presence on weekends and evenings as required

Contract:

  • Permanent, full time
  • Target Hire Rate: $43,000 - $48,000 annually
