Duration:                          Full time: August 8 – October 14

Location:                             VIFF Centre

Remuneration:                 $22/hour

 

The Greater Vancouver International Film Festival Society is a not-for-profit cultural organization that operates the internationally acclaimed Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) and the Vancity and Studio Theatre, located in the VIFF Centre. Reporting to the Ticketing and Box Office Manager, the Festival Guest Ticketing Coordinator leads VIFF’s festival accreditation, including the generation and production of public and internal Festival accreditation including passes, ticket packs, promotional codes, individual ticket bookings and event invitations. They help the Customer Service and Volunteer Teams with all accreditation-related and ticketing queries, working across departments to make sure all our guests have a good experience of the festival.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 1+ years experience using ticketing systems (Elevent an asset)
  • Festival or conference experience an asset
  • Great attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
  • Highly organized, focused, and able to work within tight deadlines
  • Experience overseeing a team of volunteers is an asset 
  • Demonstrated commitment to the customer service experience
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Establish processes for departments to request their bulk ticket and pass allocations for the festival
  • Working across VIFF teams (especially Marketing, Guests and Sponsorship) to develop an accreditation plan that works for various deadlines
  • Provide customer service for accreditation-related queries
  • Help to create documentation on how to redeem accredited tickets and passes
  • Process all complimentary pass, ticket pack and ticket requests
  • Print and distribute all accredited tickets and passes
  • Support the Ticketing and Box Office Manager in the creation of promotional codes
  • Schedule a team of Accreditation Volunteers to help with the production and distribution of tickets and passes.
  • Assist the Volunteer and HR Coordinator in overseeing the Volunteer Helpline team
  • Assist the Festival Customer Service Coordinator in the supervision of the Customer Service Team
  • Create film availability signage to be posted at venues during the festival
  • Help to cover the reception of VIFF Centre, as required.
