Summer camp guides lead either the kids camp (ages 6-9) or youth camp (ages 10-12). Out-trips include White Pine Beach, Westhill Park, Old Orchard Park, Rocky Point, Lion's Park, and more. A reliable car is recommended.
Hours are generally between 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Friday.
We are looking for experienced camp, child care, and outdoor recreation professionals that wish to make a positive impact in the community. Extensive knowledge of games is recommended.
Please include a recent Criminal Record Check if you have one. A CRC is required. Lifeguards are encouraged to apply.
The position will include, but is not limited to:
-Ensuring everyone's wellness, safety, and engagement
-Collaborating with other Camp Staff and Volunteers
-Developing a safe, inclusive, and fun community for all
-Anticipating potential challenges and de-escalating and resolving them
Full time- 40 hours per week
The position will generally be outdoors. As this job is partially funded by Canada Summer Jobs, staff need to be between 18-30 years old and Canadian citizens or Permanent residents.
Adventure Play Care Society is a non-profit that operates Rainforest Adventure Camps for kids and youth. These camps are entirely outdoors in and around the Tri-cities exploring some of the most beautiful forests, lakes, beaches, and rivers in the area. Our camps seek to further develop participants' independence, leadership, empathy, resilience, and social growth in a fun, safe, and peaceful setting. We also run after-school and theatre programs with public performances. Our programs are child and youth-centred. Our mission is to inspire, empower, and create community.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Work is generally outdoors. Sanitizer and masks are provided.
