We are looking for musical theatre professionals that have experience working with teens creating quality theatre for all ages. Existing shows and collaborators are welcome. We seek positive role models that are patient, kind, reliable, respectful, creative, dedicated, take initiative, and love to build community.
Please include a recent Criminal Record Check if you have one. A CRC is required.
The position will include, but is not limited to:
-Collaborating with the creative team and ensemble in the creation of a brief, immersive, interactive, outdoor, all-ages musical in and around the Tri-Cities.
-Auditioning, Casting, Teaching, and Directing a teen ensemble from rehearsal to public performances.
-Ensuring everyone's wellness, safety, and engagement
-The creative team may also have an opportunity to create and perform their own all-ages outdoor musical if time permits
Full time- 35 hours per week
The position will generally be outdoors. As this job is partially funded by Canada Summer Jobs, staff need to be between 18-30 years old and Canadian citizens or Permanent residents.
Adventure Play Care Society is a non-profit that operates Rainforest Adventure Camps for kids and youth. These camps are entirely outdoors in and around the Tri-cities exploring some of the most beautiful forests and lakes in the area. Our camps seek to further develop participants' independence, leadership, empathy, resilience, and social growth in a fun, safe, and peaceful setting. We also run after-school and theatre programs with public performances. Our programs are child and youth-centred. Our mission is to inspire, empower, and create community.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $15.65 per hour
