Position: Intake Worker - Temporary until the return from medical leave.
Location: Newton Resource Center
Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am – 4:30pm 35 Hours/Week
We are looking for an Intake Worker to join our Sources Housing Programs teams! This individual must be eager, motivated, and organised!

Description of position
Reporting to the Housing Support Services Manager, the Intake Worker position is a temporary employee of Sources Community Resources. This position ends upon the return of the staff member from medical leave (date undetermined), may be moved to permanent if the staff member does not return. This position is responsible to handle incoming calls and requests for service to the program. The person completes the initiate intake process by completing required forms and determine level of urgency. They provide appropriate information, support and external or internal referral. They maintain client resources, client database and agency communications.
In addition, the Intake Worker manages all front-end services including opening and closing; incoming, pick up and outgoing mail; security related issues, scheduling front desk coverage, training of students and volunteers on front desk services and other related duties. They provide client support on services for housing and accessing income support services. They provide general clerical support – Data entry and maintenance of evaluation, statistical and databases. The Intake Worker produces statistical reports, general verbal and written communication.
The Intake Worker completes other related duties as required.
