The Pacific National Exhibition is an iconic institution in BC, famous for bringing generations of people together to celebrate and build memories. This 112-year-old, non-profit organization has an annual operating budget of approximately $58 million dollars and generates revenue through four activity streams:  the 15-day annual summer Fair which averages 800,000 guests each year, Playland amusement park which welcomes 375,000 guests annually including Fright Nights, year-round events including concerts, trade shows and film, cultural and community events.  The fourth activity stream is park care and facility maintenance.  The PNE is proud of the work it does at Hastings Park and has a vibrant team that is passionate about events, guest experience and being the best, we can be.

We are seeking creative and hard-working individuals that have an interest in stock-keeping, inventory management, and the events industry. Our ideal candidates are team players that present in a professional and respectful manner and are able to work in a Warehouse Stock capacity. They will work in compliance with all health and safety requirements as determined by WorkSafeBC, and all other applicable legislation and company policies.

What will you do this year?

In your role as a Stockperson I, your primary accountabilities will be to:

  • Receive, store, and distribute perishable and non-perishable stock required for the daily
  • operation of the Food and Beverage Department
  • Assemble & disassemble food and beverage outlets, catering set ups, and food and beverage assets for a variety of events
  • Manage product and ensure proper stock handling, rotation and storage
  • Log all stock movement
  • Perform other related duties as required

 

What else?

  • Must have successful completion of Grade 12
  • Must have a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
  • Must be able to lift 30 - 50lbs in performance of work duties
  • Food and beverage experience is considered an asset
  • Warehouse experience is considered an asset
  • A working knowledge of food handling and storage procedures is considered an asset
