Place des Arts is seeking a committed, enthusiastic and qualified Ceramics Instructor who is passionate about art and teaching adults.

 

The successful candidate will teach Intermediate level Wheel Throwing & Handbuilding classes during our fall 2022, winter 2023 and spring 2023 sessions. Candidates must be available to teach on Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 am and Wednesdays from 9:30-11:30 am and 6:30-8:30 pm. Classes will be held in person at Place des Arts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of post-secondary education in ceramics, experience working in the ceramics industry and/or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum of 5-years teaching experience working with various ages and abilities

REMUNERATION

Starting at $40 per hour. Instructors are contracted to a self-employment agreement. Place des Arts coordinates studio space, scheduling, registration and program promotions.

 

REQUIREMENTS

The application of Place des Arts COVID-19 vaccination policy is currently suspended however, should the policy be re-implemented, it will be a requirement for all current and future self-employed teachers. All teachers are required to obtain and provide a Police Information Check with a vulnerable sector check prior to commencing work.
