Edmonton Meals on Wheels is a local non-profit agency that provides home-delivered meals, other food services and social connections to a diverse mix of people.  We’re well-known for our exceptional food services and creative, innovative strategies that engage the community in various events, partnerships and volunteer opportunities.  We are looking for a Client Services Coordinator to support our mission of providing nutritious meals which provide health, wellbeing independence for Edmontonians.

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent position in our Client Services Department.  This role is scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week.  The successful incumbent will be a self-directed, motivated team player who is compassionate, patient, organized and committed to the mission of Edmonton Meals on Wheels.  The individual will have customer service experience in areas such as working with vulnerable people and seniors.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills orders for Daily Fresh Meals Program
• Completes new/potential client intake interviews and prioritizes an excellent client/customer-focused experience
• Promotes the Daily Meals Program and all Edmonton Meals on Wheels (EMOW) programs through referral work and to clients and caregivers with the goal of expanding our client base
• Responds to telephone, online and in-person to program inquiries
• Completes meals deliveries when required, following all traffic laws and safety rules
• Understanding of the importance of a small team and helping wherever needed

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in a related field with 1 to 3 years of experience (administration, marketing, customer-relations or nutrition, for example)
• Excellent data entry and strong proficiency of Microsoft Suite Applications
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with Clean Driver’s Abstract (own vehicle an asset)
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector valid within the last 6 months
• Organized, excellent time-management and able to handle multiple projects under tight timelines
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written English

Salary

• $40,000 - $45,000 per year
