Role Overview 

Working closely with the Senior Manager, Corporate Sponsorships, the Account Manager, Corporate Partnerships is responsible for driving revenue growth and strengthening relationships on accounts of strategic importance. They will focus on high-impact account management activities including the developing and implementing a prospect identification and pipeline management process, account planning, and supporting revenue-generating corporate partnership opportunities. 

Location: Flexible work arrangement policy in place, allows for hybrid environment and remote work.    

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide support to new and existing partners in closing deals and ensuring internal stakeholders are engaged and deliverables are met.
  • Provide insight and creative ideas in pitching value-added proposals to partners.
  • Initiate and secure corporate partnerships focusing on partnerships with a minimum value of $25,000 annually.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within existing relationships.
  • Secure meaningful meetings/calls with companies across a range of sectors.
  • Develop compelling proposals and presentations for prospective new partners that align with their core business/CSR objectives, leading meetings with a range of corporate contacts.
  • Serve as the lead relationship manager in the day-to-day stewardship and cultivation of all funding partnerships, in coordination with executive level contacts.
  • Manage key partner relationships in collaboration with Corporate Partnerships colleagues.
  • Ensure partner activities are furthering fundraising or brand awareness objectives.
  • Develop strong cultivation and stewardship tools/ approaches that are considered best practice in the field or market niche as related to engagement strategies along with strong administrative skills to manage back-end partnership activities.
  • Collaborate with other fundraising channels to execute strategies for revenue generation and partnership promotion.
  • Assists in prospect research, utilizing digital resources and tools, where required
  • Prepares reports on account status and prepares presentations, and agreements from draft stage to client-ready work
  • Supports the completion of partnership application forms
  • Works with team to update client information in CRM system (steps, contacts, opportunities, etc.,)
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Post secondary education in a relevant field
  • 3-5 years relevant working experience
  • Relevant experience in the health and wellness sector would be an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professionalism, judgement, and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters are essential
  • Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as required
  • Demonstrable experience closing partnerships and ability to work as a team to ensure fundraising goals are met
  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple and/or unexpected deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and aptitude to learn standard organizational software and other applications/tools
  • Experience working with a digital CRM system, familiarity with Blackbaud CRM an asset
