Supply Chain Canada is a national federation dedicated to supporting the supply chain sector through education, certification, and advocacy on behalf of its 45,000 national members employed in the supply chain sector. The Saskatchewan Institute is a partner in the national federation delivering education, training and certification to its (approx. 7,000) provincial members and advocating on supply chain issues in the province.
Supply chains are the backbone of the economy. Canada is the prosperous, revered nation it is today because of the continued work of almost a million innovative supply chain professionals for which Supply Chain Canada partners are the voice.
Supply Chain Canada engages in advocacy so that supply chain professionals have a strong, respected voice in the development of policy and in critical debates. It contributes by generating and sharing ideas to improve the supply chain system for a more competitive Canada. Its advocacy and guiding principles define opinions, shape actions and articulate messaging with governments and the media.
The Opportunity
This is a career opportunity for an experienced association leader or a COO who knows how a successful, professional association functions. You know the value of education and development for its members. You are comfortable advocating for your profession or sector of the economy in government and media settings, and you know how to build and retain memberships. A relationship builder, you understand how a federation of autonomous partner organizations can best function in the interests of its members.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the role of the Executive Director & CEO is to oversee all operations, functions and activities of the member-based professional association. The Executive Director & CEO is the face of the organization, responsible for determining the proper strategic direction, implementing the vision and leading the organization towards the realization of its mission.
