What you'll do for CNIB Deafblind Community Services

Provides confidential, administrative support to the Vice President, Deafblind Community Services (DBCS), the DBCS Board of Directors and Committees. The Executive Operations Lead will also oversee DBCS's Privacy and Risk Management Programs.

• Oversee the DBCS Privacy Program by keeping current with legislation, responding to privacy breaches, investigation, implementation of the action plan.
• Oversee Risk Management Program by completing reports for the Board, DBCS ELT and Board Committees.
• Provide general administrative support to the Vice President, DBCS, DBCS Board of Directors and Committees.
• Schedule appointments and meetings, prepare agenda, record, transcribe and distribution of minutes, make travel arrangements, book intervenors and interpreters, and book appropriate facilities for Board meetings.
• Approve time cards and time off requests for direct reports of the Vice President, DBCS.
• Maintain files and documents for staff, leadership volunteers and board procedures, and cover other administrative duties as assigned.

We want to hear from you if you have

• Minimum 5 years' experience in an administrative role, experience working with Boards and leadership volunteers. An administrative Assistant Certificate would be an asset.
• A superior level of accuracy, confidentiality, sound judgement and diplomacy in dealing with staff and volunteers at all levels of the organization.
• Strong interpersonal skills, highly developed oral and written communication skills, and excellent word processing skills.
• Excellent time management and decision-making skills, strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task with good knowledge of meeting protocols.
