Drive Happiness Seniors Association is a registered, non-profit society whose mission is to assist health and mobility-challenged seniors to remain independent in their own homes through low-cost assisted transportation services provided by volunteer drivers. We currently service Greater Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Drive Happiness is currently looking for a full-time Program Coordinator. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator is responsible for managing client applications, payments, deposits, and database management. The Program Coordinator will assist with answering incoming calls, entering bookings into the scheduling database, and assisting with day-to-day office operations.
The ideal candidate has experience dispatching and/or in customer service.

Maintains accurate account information in the database
First responder to all calls

Qualifications and Skills
Requirements:
Education
Post-secondary education is an asset
Experience
1 to 2 years of office administration or reception preferred
Experience working with volunteers would be considered an asset
Previous work with seniors would be considered an asset
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding communities
Strong verbal communication skills
Knowledge of transportation options in Edmonton and the surrounding area
Knowledge of seniors with health or mobility challenges
Proficiency in the use of computers for:
Personal characteristics
Working conditions
This position requires the employee to sit for extended periods in front of a computer, attached to the phone.
The Program Coordinator may be required to work some evenings and weekends.
The successful candidate must provide a clean vulnerable sector criminal records check as a condition of employment.
Length of Position and Hours of Work
Full-time position (37.5 hours/week), specific hours of work will be 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
