The Role:

As a Regional Finance Officer at CLBC, you will assist in the ongoing process of administering and maintaining the financial records of the regional Quality Services Areas with respect to budgetary targets, resource allocation, expenditure patterns, and statistical and critical indication data. Your work will support the Finance Operations Manager's role to assess, interpret and make recommendations based upon regional financial performance to inform management decision making.

You will work collaboratively and proactively with other staff in the regions, Financial Planning, and the Finance Division at large to support the Finance Operations Manager in preparing financial reports for the regional management team and Finance.

This role requires:

  • Knowledge and experience undertaking CLBC Regional Forecasting and Accruals process would be an advantage;
  • An intermediate level of MS Excel
  • Experience analyzing high volumes of information
  • The ability to apply a high degree of tact and good judgement
  • An excellent ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
  • The proven ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with people at every level of the organization and key stakeholders both internal and external to CLBC

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 education supplemented by completed coursework towards a certificate or diploma related to finance or business administration and three years of related experience is required
  • A Bachelor of Commerce/Business Administration or relevant financial education (ex: Diploma in Accounting) is preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Travel: Occasional overnight travel is required. Possession of a Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract are required.

Location and Flexibility: This position can work from any CLBC office. Utilizing a hybrid working model, this position combines on-site office work with work-from-home flexibility.
