About the North Shore Disability Resource Centre (NSDRC):
The NSDRC provides innovative programs, services, housing and support to individuals with disabilities from infancy through adulthood. Our vision is one where every person can fully and actively participate in their community.
As an organization, we are evolving in exciting ways. The Community Based Services department is currently seeking a full-time Community Support Based Worker to join our committed and dynamic team.
As a Community Support Worker, you will support individuals with a disability with social, recreational, and life skills goals.
The successful candidate would be outgoing, energetic, creative, and able to work with a small group of participants. The schedule is Tuesday to Saturday with some evenings.
Criminal Record Search
Current First Aid (level B or higher)
Negative TB Test or clear chest x-ray
Medical doctors note of good health
High School certificate or equivalent & 1 year previous experience providing support. OR A relevant combination of education and/or experience, combined with general suitability.
