About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Programs, the Manager of Employment Programs will lead, supervise, and administer the employment programs and staff within the organization in accordance with all related contractual agreements, and within the framework of the Mission Statement and Core Values of the organization. In this capacity, the Manager of Employment Programs will demonstrate leadership and the ability to ensure contract deliverables and client outcomes are met.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Program development – develop and oversee community engagement plan to meet program milestones as well as provide accurate and timely statistical reports on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
  • Human Resource Management- schedule program staff, coach, mentor and provide feedback and guidance to staff and participate in the development and provision of training
  • Community Engagement – liaise with community partners, funders, and stakeholders and provide presentations to the community

What You Will Need

  • Post-graduate degree in Social Sciences or a combination of equivalent related education and a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience working with or a strong understanding of serving vulnerable populations
  • Experience in the delivery of employment programs is considered an asset
  • Computer savvy with advanced expertise in MS office suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Expectations

  • Ability to provide clear criminal and vulnerable sector background checks
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s license with access to a vehicle
