SHARE Family & Community Services Society has the following employment opportunity:

Occupational Therapist, Regular, Full-Time position

 

Date:                                 August 25, 2022

Start Date:                       Immediately

Location:                          New Westminster

Hours of work:                35 hours per week

Classification/Salary:     $38.56 – $46.28 Para-Professional Grid Level 16-OT/PT

This is an HSA-CSSEA bargaining unit position and requires union membership.

 

Summary of Duties:

  • Collaborate with school district staff and key people in a client’s life to assess the need for intervention

andtoestablishaserviceplan basedonthoseneeds;

  • Supportschooldistrictstafftoprovideinterventions(formalandinformal)usingvariedandfluidservicedelivery tostudents(grouptherapy, individualsessions, trainingprograms,workshops);
  • Evaluate client’s skills and progress on a regular basis using clinical judgement and reasoning as well as

standardizedtestsasappropriate;

  • Maintainclientandagencydocumentationasrequired;
  • Participateinagency andinteragency meetingsandtrainingasrequired;
  • Maintainknowledgeandskillsdirectlyrelevanttoserviceprovisionthroughcontinuingeducation;
  • Liaisewithothercommunityserviceprovidersandprofessionalsto coordinateservicesfor

Qualifications Required:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy;
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC;
  • 3-5 years pediatric experience preferred;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Use of personal automobile;
