BCCNM is the college empowered under the Health Professions Act to regulate the practice of all licensed practical nurses, nurse practitioners, registered midwives, registered nurses, and registered psychiatric nurses in British Columbia. Regulation helps to protect the public by ensuring that professional care or service received by the public is competent, ethical, and meets the standards that society views as acceptable.

What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Executive Director, Regulatory Programs Transformation, the Director, Research and Evaluation (R&E) is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of BCCNM’s research and evaluation program. The research and evaluation program serves to profile and publish BCCNM regulatory innovations and to contribute to building a regulatory knowledge base. The Director, R&E also contributes to the development of data structures and metrics development that support effective program reporting that leads to policy congruence, integration, and ongoing improvements and innovations across all regulatory functions.
