The Position:
Job Title: Manager, Community Based Services (Early Parenthood and Infant Mental Health Division)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director, Early Parenthood and Infant Mental Health, the Community Based Services Manager provides strong leadership to the division and cultivates a culture of excellence, respect, accountability, innovation and collaboration. Imperative to the Manager position is the ability to develop and monitor systems, processes and protocols that support best practice, quality assurance, outcome measurement and program evaluation. This position is responsible for the oversight of community-based programs for the division, including partnerships and partnership management, quality assurance, funding reporting, proposals, expansion and scalability, promotions and evaluation. The Manager also provides agency wide leadership and supports agency initiatives where appropriate.


Key Accountabilities (job functions include but are not limited to):


Administration and Project Leadership

  • Participate in developing and implementing the strategic direction of Kindred, the EPIMH division, and the newly designed delivery of community based services including the parent-infant relationship team and the provincial Expanding Hope Project;
  • Assist the Director to lead change to continue to push the boundaries of project evolution to meet the purpose and ambitions of Community Based Services;
  • Lead and motivate the Community Based Services team to achieve outcomes outlined in the program redesign;
  • Oversee quality assurance processes and accountabilities for community-based services including data management across all partners, survey administration, partner engagement, promotions, evaluation and continuous improvement planning;
  • Lead funding reporting for the team and lead or support all proposals related to EPIMH community-based services;
  • Assist director in preparing budgets.

Partnership Engagement and Promotions

  • Foster strong working relationships with each service partner, external referral partner, and prospective partners;
  • Engage with partners responsively and maintain and build buy-in related to the initiative;
  • Understand technology platform powering the project working with the technology partner to maximize its use at Kindred and on behalf of partners;
  • Promote community-based services in the community to engage stakeholders, prospective partners, and funders to support continued growth;
  • Deliver community presentations, coordinate social media efforts, coordinate marketing materials, and partner engagement with all of the above.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Human Services, or other related field;
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in leading teams and collaboration; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered;
    • Experience in funding reporting and proposals;
  • Project management experience or PMP certification is preferred;
  • Experience utilizing client information systems, and data collection;
  • Ability to think, plan, and execute operationally;
  • Excellent communication skills including written, public speaking, and group facilitation;
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities from multiple stakeholders;
  • Working knowledge of community trends related to supporting young families and parents;
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams);
  • Core Brain Story Certification through Alberta Family Wellness Initiative is an asset;
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract and use of a vehicle with appropriate insurance;
  • Expectation of flexibility with hours to meet client needs; some evening work required.
