Digital and Media Marketing Specialist

Purpose

The Digital and Media Marketing Specialist will report to the Director of Development & Communications and will collaborate closely with the Communications Coordinator. The Digital and Media Marketing Specialist will perform marketing duties, including social media, photography, videography, and will engage in relationships with the media, podcasters, and bloggers, while effectively delivering our organization’s message to the public. The Digital and Media Marketing Specialist will have a thorough Specialist will report to the Director of Development & Communications and will collaborate closely with the Communications Coordinator. The Digital and Media Marketing Specialist will perform marketing duties, including social media, photography, videography, and will engage in relationships with the media, podcasters, and bloggers, while effectively delivering our organization’s message to the public. The Digital and Media Marketing Specialist will have a thorough understanding of the commitment to AdaptAbilities programs, vision, core values, and brand. Key Functions

·        Social media

·        Photography

·        Videography

·        Media relations (traditional media, social media influencers, bloggers, podcasters)

·        As needed: other activities to support Marketing/Communications initiatives

Qualifications

·        Diploma or Degree in Marketing,Communications, Journalism, English or Public Relations required

·        Work experience in a related field  

·        Experience with Adobe Premier Pro (or Final Cut Pro) preferred

·        Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment

·        Excellent computer, public relations, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

·        Demonstrates strong initiative

·        Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

·        Clear Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check

Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position. The position is based out of our Head Office, during business hours, for 40 hours per week (including occasional evening work).
