The Lighthouse for Grieving Children & Families is seeking a full time Coordinator of Support Services responsible for the provision of grief support services to children, youth and their families at our centre in Oakville Ontario.  The Coordinator of Support Services deals with all aspects of service delivery including, but not limited to, planning, implementation, facilitation and coordination of peer support groups, participant intake and assessment, services navigation, service-related inquiries, grief consultations, education, training and program evaluation


The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Social Work, Education, Child Life Specialist or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with children/youth and their families in addition to strong assessment skills, knowledge of family systems, anti-oppressive practices, group facilitation and community service navigation.  Professional or personal experience in children’s or adult bereavement an asset.


Given the nature of our work, the Lighthouse has a COVID-19 Vaccination Policy which requires all employees to be fully vaccinated with 3 doses of a Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccine.  You will not be asked to disclose your vaccination status during the interview process.
