About the Role
The Program Lead, Startup Canada Tour provides leadership, oversight, and execution for Startup Canada’s new “Startup Canada Tour” kicking off in 2023. This national, multi-stop tour is aimed at connecting early-stage entrepreneurs with ecosystem partners, private sector organizations, and government support agencies in real time, and ensuring they have all the tools they need to start, and build a thriving business. Serving entrepreneurs across every industry, we’re looking for a leader who is passionate about helping entrepreneurs get connected to resources, identifying inspiring speakers, and delivering practical support through program delivery.
With a focus on organizing high quality, large scale events (250 - 1,000 people per event), this person is an expert project manager who skillfully juggles the responsibilities of program execution, and program communications while keeping stakeholders up to date and included in the process. We’re looking for someone who thrives while managing multiple tasks simultaneously, who stays calm under pressure, and can handle the challenges and logistics of large scale events!
This role is hands-on and involves working as part of a Team, and working independently with a high level of autonomy and accountability, and traveling across Canada.
This position is based out of our office in Ottawa, ON and/or remote. If remote, the Startup Canada brings the team together once minimum per year for a team retreat, in addition to team travel for program delivery across the country.

In partnership with the communications team, the Lead is responsible for program recruitment of a diverse cohort of entrepreneurs from across Canada, and across a wide variety of industries.
