Employee Benefits Administrator (30 hrs/wk)
Enroll new/existing employees in group benefit plans (health, dental, life insurance, etc), resolve questions and problems, make necessary adjustments/corrections. Administer group benefit and/or pension enrolments. Ensure compliance with remittance schedules, provincial and federal laws, contractual agreements and company policy, and provides interpretive information and guidance to employees on benefit and/or pension plan compliance issues.
Secondary role: serves as backfill support to payroll department with processing, communication and related HR administrative duties.
30 hours per week, 8:30am to 5:00pm some flexibility of 4 or 5 days/week

As An Ideal Candidate You Possess
Diploma in a related field (i.e. office administration, human resources, accounting)
MINIMUM of 3 YEARS experience in benefit / payroll administration and Human Resources.
· Ceridian Dayforce HRIS Payroll experience
· Union and Non-Unionized processes
· Analytical and problem-solving skills and resolve customer complaints/concerns.
· Report writing and spreadsheet creation skills (i.e. Excel, Ceridian Dayforce)
· Knowledge and understanding of employee benefit and payroll principles, practices, procedures and documentation; open enrollment systems and procedures; provincial and federal laws pertaining to employee benefits and personal income tax issues.
