The Role:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at CLBC, you will lead the recruitment and selection process to help recruit and retain top-quality candidates that facilitate an open, inclusive, CLBC values-based workplace that enables the organization to deliver its vision.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing full-cycle recruitment
  • Providing advice and consulting support to ensure that talent acquisition processes are in compliance with collective agreements and applicable employment regulations and statues
  • Providing consultation to leaders while ensuring collective agreement requirements are met
  • Organizing and implementing recruitment and selection processes
  • Creating job advertising and researching new and innovative ways to promote CLBC opportunities
  • Proactively sourcing, engaging and evaluating potential candidates
  • Attending career fairs and conducting presentations
  • Completing reference checks, position offer letters, and other related aspects of the competition process

In this role, you will handle a high volume of recruitment from sourcing to offer, so your strong organizational skills will help you excel. Most importantly, you care about the work you do and have a passion for providing an excellent candidate experience. Experience recruiting in a unionized environment is ideal as the majority of our staff are unionized.



  • Successful completion of a diploma in Human Resource Management or related program with two years directly related experience in one or more facets of human resource management
  • Successful completion of a Human Resource Management certificate program with three years directly related experience in one or more facets of human resource management or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preference may be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in the recruitment of staff and experience in a unionized environment

Location: Utilizing a hybrid working model, this position combines on-site office work at our Vancouver Head Office with work from home flexibility 2-3 days a week.
