The Role:

As the Associate Manager, Corporate Learning at CLBC, you will guide the functional training consulting process by engaging with sponsors and project team members to assess training needs, collaborating with training and other team members to develop solutions, gaining sponsor approval, and planning implementation to ensure successful project completion.

Essential to your approach is a desire and an aptitude to focus on both the content of the training solutions and process efficiency while considering how solutions impact people, practices and performance outcomes and align with organizational objectives and strategies. You will manage multiple projects and take on a holistic perspective to objectively assess how training projects interrelate and impact other training courses and other programs.

You will also guide the training team members and be responsible for full-cycle performance management including coaching and work effectiveness.

Qualifications:

A post-secondary degree and/or diploma in a related field, with several years of leadership experience. A relevant equivalent combination of other education, work experience and training may also be considered.

Preference will be given to candidates that possess the BC Instructor Diploma or similar qualifications or endorsement, and/or a related post-secondary degree (adult education, teaching) from an accredited college or university, plus 5 years related experience that includes:

  • Leading teams
  • Strong ability to engage and influence various stakeholder groups and staff
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience in designing and implementing a variety of training courses and programs (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in-classroom training, e-learning, workshops), using consistent and effective methodologies
  • Solid organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • CLBC operational knowledge and experience is preferred

Travel: Occasional overnight travel. This position may involve travel throughout the province as required on a periodic basis. Possession of a class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract are required. Use of own vehicle on expenses.

Location: This position can work from any CLBC office. Utilizing a hybrid working model, this position combines on-site office work with work-from-home flexibility.
