We are looking for a motivated individual who will be The Refugee Centre’s liaison and resettlement officer in the Greater Moncton Area for our new Pilot Program “Beyond the Big City: Montreal to Moncton”. Working collaboratively with different community partners in the Greater Moncton Area along with city and government representatives to ensure the successful resettlement of Refugees willing to relocation from Montreal to Greater Moncton.

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinating with Montreal Office and local partners in Greater Moncton to ensure all newcomers transport/accommodations/settlement needs are taken care of for the first 3-4 months.
• Work within different economic and social working groups within the Greater Moncton area to observe and discover job opportunities for Refugees.
• Support employers in the inclusion of refugees at all four primary stages of employment cycle: recruiting, hiring, onboarding and integration, through the implementation of the Greater Moncton Employer Playbook.
• Organize training and informational sessions, provide 1:1 support to employers seeking to hire and include refugee talent.
• Support tracking, monitoring, and evaluation of uptake by employers of specific tools and strategies included the Employer Playbook.
• Coordinate the organization of a refugee hiring event (online or in-person) to connect refugees to commensurate employment opportunities in the Greater Moncton.

Education

University Degree is a pre-requisite for this job opening
