We are growing. There has never been a better time to join our non-profit charity as the Fund Development Officer reporting to the Executive Director. Playing a key role in the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors, you will develop and implement an annual fundraising plan.

The position responsibilities include:

Key Duties

  • Develop and implement an annual plan to secure individual and corporate sponsors and donors, as well as support from foundations.
  • Support corporate fundraising strategies to ensure maximum revenue is achieved from prospects and donors.
  • Perform research to generate lists of new prospects and generate profiles, proposals/case for support and other solicitation materials as required.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate sponsors, foundations, and donors to achieve identified and agreed upon fundraising targets.
  • Maintain accurate, professional, and current records, actions, and reports. 


  • Completion of a college diploma/university degree or equivalent experience plus a minimum of two years success in corporate fundraising and stewardship in non-profit fundraising or similar environment.
  • A broad knowledge of sponsorship and corporate social responsibility trends.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and administrative skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and public relations skills to communicate effectively with corporate sponsors and donors to meet their needs.
  • Takes initiative and is collaborative.
  • Able to work with a diversity of corporate donors, sponsors, and prospects.
  • Able to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS office suite, with advanced Excel spreadsheet skills and knowledge of fundraising databases.
  • The ability to work in French is an asset.
