Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Finance & Business Operations, the Executive Director, People & Culture (ED) is responsible for leading and executing the people strategy at Diabetes Canada (DC) that includes engagement oversight for both employees and volunteers. The incumbent will join Diabetes Canada during a period of exciting strategic change and will work to build and lead the direction of all People & Culture initiatives and steward the overall organizational culture which will be shaped and guided by an equity, diversity, and inclusion lens.
Success in this purpose and cause driven role will require a strategic and enthusiastic leader with the knowledge and confidence to work in a changing and growing environment. They possess the know-how to develop initiatives to sustain an ambitious organization strategy as well as demonstrate the executive maturity to effectively communicate at all levels in the organization. They will play an important role in forging and nurturing relationships and will be accountable for the overall development and execution of a strategic and forward-facing People & Culture roadmap grounded on acquiring, developing and retaining the best talent to support the mandate of Diabetes Canada.
