About Us:

The Vancouver Outdoors Society (VOS) provides unique experiential education opportunities and programs with a proportion of the participants coming from a Chinese cultural background.  Our aim to inspire young people to learn about and explore B.C.’s beautiful outdoors and wilderness. While additionally becoming aware, skilled and knowledgeable in wilderness conservation and environmental stewardship.


VOS is a modest size company who has been operating and growing its offerings to the Vancouver community for over nine years. Part of what VOS provides is an outdoor cross cultural experience that is often our participants’ first exposure to outdoor activities and wilderness adventure.



The Administrative Services Manager role supports the Administration of VOS, Operations, Admissions, Customer Service, Sales, Accounting and Marketing functions and staff.  Primary duties are payroll, office admin, collection registration and fees, customer service tracking and record keeping key documentation.  


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and organize the company operations
  • Evaluate the operations of the company providing administrative services
  • Assist and support Marketing/Sales team and  as requested prepare marketing material (in writing, pics and formatting) on WeChat or Instagram
  • Oversee and control corporate governance and regulatory compliance procedures within establishment
  • Activity information language translation
  • Customer communication and relation maintenance
  • Assist in the preparation, tracking, recording and collecting of clients’ information
  • Managing payroll, oversee and control transaction records, including commissions, budgets for operation, equipment and supplies
  • Working with Accountant on payroll and tax control and reporting
  • Administer all staff hiring, training, filling contracts and record-keeping
  • Create and facilitate and employee HR handbook
  • Administer the company employee benefits plan

Hours: 9:00-5:00 M-F

Salary: $18.00 HR, Benefits, Full Time

Work Location: Vancouver

Language: Proficient, writing, speaking and reading, English and Mandarin

Driving: Able to drive
