Human Resources Business Partner

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a key role within the Human Resources team at CASA. Their primary purpose is to build, foster and grow relationships between Human Resources and the rest of CASA by delivering value-added services to employees and managers. As a catalyst for change, the HRBP will help facilitate organizational change by supporting employees and managers through times of ambiguity. This position will provide functional support/supervision to other Human Resources team members in areas such as recruitment, onboarding, collective agreement interpretation, disability management and performance management.
The HRBP will maintain an understanding of current and emerging trends and best practices. This role will assist in making proactive recommendations to improve Human Resources services and processes at CASA. The HRBP will have a passion for people and creating work environments that celebrate diversity, and will demonstrate a commitment to learning and continuous improvement.
The HRBP will:
Work with employees, managers and senior leaders to implement services and solutions that advance CASA’s mission.
Work with employees at all stages of the employee life cycle to address employee concerns and questions.
Provide advice and direction to management and employees on the application of policies, procedures and the collective agreement.
Advise CASA on the development, implementation and evaluation of Human Resources programs and services, making suggestions for improvements founded in best practice.
Manage employee and labour relations issues under the direction of the Manager, Human Resources. This will include conducting effective, thorough and neutral investigations, and making recommendations for resolution.
Develop and implement processes to ensure data is accurate and reliable in conjunction with the Human Resources Coordinator.
Work with teams such as Occupational Health and Safety, Volunteer Services and Student Placement among others to model a collaborative working approach and ensure consistency across portfolios.

Minimum Salary: $65,000
Maximum Salary: $85,000
Hours per Shift: 7.25
Shifts per Week: Five
Days Off: Saturday and Sunday
A degree in human resources or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Three to five years of human resources generalist experience.
Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including: recruitment, performance management, organizational development and diagnosis, diversity and inclusion, employee and labour relations.
Certified Human Resources Professional (CPHR) designation considered an asset.
