Reporting to the Executive Director, Alumni Strategy, the Homecoming & Reunions Officer is responsible for building deeper alumni and volunteer engagement through the execution of Homecoming and reunions-related programming based on classes, shared interests, and other affinity groups. The Homecoming & Reunions Officer will work with alumni volunteers and campus stakeholders in support of alumni programming, including Homecoming and Queen's reunions. This work includes working with colleagues to develop and execute Queen's annual Homecoming celebration, and developing, executing and evaluating reunion programs and recruitment strategies based on demographic profile, recruiting new volunteers, working with student leaders to establish alumni volunteer pipelines, and deepening current relationships with Reunion Coordinators to enable them to more effectively engage their classmates, teammates, and/or clubmates in alumni-to-university relationships and alumni-to-alumni relationships.
Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for a variety of project management and coordination relating to: integrating Faculty/School-based activities with centrally-coordinated activities such as Homecoming events; compiling and disseminating information to a variety of audiences using several communication channels; researching, compiling and presenting results of benchmarking and other surveys; and revising the process of collecting and tracking student co-curricular information that will enable more effective alumni relationship building, particularly through reunion programming.
A Brief Overview
This position develops plans and programs to engage alumni that reflect best practices. The position looks at emerging trends to identify opportunities to improve and increase volunteer participation. This position plans and develops targeted activities, and oversees events. This position creates a community for alumni and works to build long-term relationships between alumni and the school.The schedule for this position requires the incumbent to work evenings and weekends.
