The agency's mission is to foster individual and group participation and action to improve the comprehensive and holistic health of diverse communities.
AHC facilitates community development supports. We engage with equity-seeking individuals and groups using community development approaches and lenses of intersectionality to identify and address barriers. We aim to build capacity through increased and strengthened knowledge, skills, and social capital of individuals, families, and communities. These strategies all aim to enhance social determinants of health, reduce poverty and vulnerability factors, and respond to social issues that impact safety and well-being.
Position Summary
As an Employer Engagement Liaison / Job Developer, you will serve a dual role of being the connector and relationship builder for AHC's newcomer clients seeking work and promoting the ready-to-work clients to employers. The incumbent will be responsible for developing strategies to engage employers and promote understanding of the hiring of newcomers.
Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for the marketing of AHC's employment programs and services to employers and industries with the end goal of placing candidates to work.

Working Conditions
Office Environment - In-person (occasional remote/virtual work).
37.5 hours per work for full-time positions - some evening and weekend work may be required.
A class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract and a reliable vehicle is required, as a fair amount of travel is required to various locations, mostly in the greater Edmonton region.
