Public Engagement & Development Specialist
Full-time (35 hrs/wk.), 6 Month Maternity Leave
HIV Edmonton is an inclusive and dynamic community-based organization dedicated to working with diverse communities in amiskwaciswâskahikan and across Treaty 6 territory. We aim to build awareness of sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBI), prevent new transmissions, help people living with HIV and other STBBI to live longer, healthier lives, and support community members without judgement, stigma, or discrimination.
The Public Engagement Specialist reports to and works closely with the Communications & Development Lead to coordinate HIV Edmonton’s fundraising and donor relations, media relations and communications content. Key Responsibilities
This position may appeal to a candidate in the HIV Edmonton community or someone identifying from a disproportionally affected community. Incumbent to start March 2023. Contract is 6 months with possibility of extension to December 2023.
Qualifications
Salary: $46,000 to $49,000 per annum with health benefits package plus RRSP contribution.
