Sensity seeks an experienced Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for an immediate opening for a full time role. Reporting to our Chief Executive Officer (CEO), join our committed team in providing a broad range of services to a dynamic group of leaders and staff.

 

This position is based in Paris, ON, and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the Chief Human Resources Officer (HR) oversees and is accountable for all human resources activities at Sensity. The most prominent role of the Chief Human Resources Officer is to lead long-term strategic planning in order to anticipate new change initiatives.

 

This position develops and implements HR strategies such as change management, talent management, organization design, performance management, succession planning, job evaluation and compensation, benefit administration, and compliance in areas of WSIB, OLRB and any other regulatory bodies. The incumbent is responsible for articulating HR needs and plans to the rest of the executive team to ensure that all aspects of HR practices and operations are functioning optimally.

 

Essential Position Functions:

  • Leads the HR department in the analysis and evaluation of all aspects of the Human Resources function.
  • Leads the department in the analysis of employee performance, using those analyses to cultivate talent, close gaps and improve performance.
  • Monitors, analyses, and identifies the strategic gaps, needs, and risks in the organization.
  • Motivates, coaches, and develops employees to ensure the best results.
  • Manages performance and nonperformance.
  • Supports diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Development strategies for recruitment and the retention of employees.
  • Development and delivery of the employee recognition program.
  • Ensures that pay equity, job evaluation and compensation pay grids are maintained.
  • Participates in labour negotiations, labour management meetings, and the grievance process
  • Performs other duties, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.
  • CHRP or CHRL designation is an asset.
  • 10 years’ experience as a senior HR professional.
  • Appreciation for a healthy balance between the needs of the organization and those of staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the human resource functions including compensation, performance management, recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, (oral and written) to interact tactfully, professionally and effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including employees, people supported and community partners as required.
  • Knowledge of French (written and verbal) an asset but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
