Project Manager - Hiring for March 2023 (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Full Time 1.5 Year Contract

Reports to Executive Director

Hours- 08:30-16:00 Monday to Friday (some flexibility required)

Location- office based (7298 Hurd Street, Mission, V2V 3H6)

Salary- competitive based on the candidates experience and qualifications

Who We Are

MDoFP represents family physicians in Mission, BC. The Mission Division provides local family physicians with a stronger collective voice in the integrated delivery of primary care within our community. It is our goal to provide a collaborative and innovative approach to patient-based care with a strong and transparent relationship between our Division, the Family Practice Services Committee (FPSC), Fraser Health Authority, Indigenous Partners, and the Ministry of Health.

 

What This Role Entails

  • Provide leadership, management and support to a variety of Division projects and programs.
  • Offer technical support with online databases, programming and electronic medical records.
  • Recruitment of Physicians and Nurse Practitioners, including Return of Service International Medical Graduates
  • Developing and implement initiatives, and to ultimately ensure project goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategic and operational, communications plans to further advance the Division’s strategic goals.
  • Identify risks and provide pro-active problem solving.
  • Record and monitor project statuses.
  • Serve as a specialist from leading from behind and supporting physician leadership to doing great work with improving patient care for the Mission community.
  • Maintain great relationships with the staff team, physician leads, partners, including local family physicians, nurse practitioners, specialists, patients, allied health providers, the health authority, local government, community partners and local Indigenous communities and Indigenous serving organizations.

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of Project Management experience
  • University Degree (Human Resources degree is an asset)
  • Criminal Record Check Is Required
  • Understanding of Cultural Safety and Humility
  • Excellent technology and software skills with adaptability (High proficiency in programs such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, & Google)
  • Understand the culture of primary care providers, and has a natural ability to establish rapport with health care professionals
  • Highly self-directed and independent
  • Able to professionally manage confidential information
  • Dedicated to continuous cultural learning and, to lifelong learning
  • Has a natural curiosity and ability to listen and synthesize information quickly
  • Translate global principles and values to ground level practical activities
  • Due to the fact that this position resides in a medical setting, we are required to request that all new hires with the Mission Division of Family Practice have full COVID 19 vaccinations.
  • Operating hours are between 8:30 – 16:00, Monday through Friday on-site
  • Flexible to work occasional weekends, early morning, and evening meetings.
  • Ability to travel to meetings & family practices in the community
  • Minimum Class 5 Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle
