Mission
Frontlines addresses the pressing needs of Weston’s children and youth. We foster and restore wellness and respect among our diverse neighbours by building relationships and providing programs that address the whole child.
Project Scope
Frontlines Toronto is seeking a consultant for a 5-month contract to lead the planning and development of a strategic fundraising plan.
The individual must be an experienced fundraiser with a generalist background, who is able to work independently and is proactive and resourceful. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a community centered fundraising model, that engages people of diverse cultural and racial backgrounds to achieve results.
The consultant will work alongside the Executive Director, the Fundraising Committee of the Board of Directors and staff to create a plan to grow monthly and major giving and increase organizational capacity through revenue generation.
Deliverables
Conduct an audit of current fundraising program including Annual Giving, Major Giving and Foundations to determine gaps and areas of improvement
Develop materials including a Case for Support that positions the Frontlines story in a compelling way
Establish best practices and conduct relevant training/coaching for staff to execute Cultivation, Solicitation and Stewardship activities (e.g. recorded videos)
Identify opportunity for a Capital Campaign
Develop a fundraising strategy to build relationships with major donors and companies that has a multi-pronged approach that is both online and offline
Create and maintain a database of potential, current, and past donors that can produce customized lists for different activities;
Integrate a digital strategy/components into the fund development plans and make recommendations for additional media and digital marketing to support organizational awareness and fundraising
Through an efficiency audit, highlight improvements for donor segmenting and related database management.
Source prospects, including individual donors, people who are likely to attend events, association lists, corporate donors, and foundations that provide grants
Develop donor journey map for monthly donors
Conduct staff and Board training workshops on fundraising strategies tailored to Frontlines needs.

Capability statement (brief bio, resume, statement of relevant skills and experience, and detailed narrative responding to the deliverables identified, including benchmarks)
Proposed approach to delivering objectives, including work plan and time frame for completion and methods indicating whether in person or virtually or hybrid.
Demonstrated knowledge/understanding of cultures of diverse populations including Latin America, Africa, and the Caribbean, particularly lived experiences.
References (a minimum of 3 references for those with whom you have conducted similar work and their contact information).
