POSITION SUMMARY: The successful candidate will have significant contact with YWCA stakeholders and will be required to maintain positive relationships and communicate effectively. The incumbent will be required to perform data entry, financial reporting, and other tasks in a timely and accurate manner. A flexible work schedule is available and occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
POSITION REPORTING: Development Officer
HOURS OF WORK: Permanent, Part-Time at 18-20 hours per week
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative support for Fund Development
- Play a role in carrying out the YWCA gift stewardship plan and achieving fund development goals, working together with the Fund Development & Engagement team
- Accept charitable gifts, process donation receipts, and prepare correspondence, printed materials, reports, research, and lists
- Maintain and update donor and gift information in the donor database
- Support and promote fundraising campaigns and appeals
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reconciliation
- Prepare donation reports and donor lists
- Coordinate donor visits, tours, and social events
- Respond to donor and volunteer inquiries
- Provide communication support
- Assist with various communications and marketing projects as required
- Assist with social media planning and execution as required
- Provide support for events and special projects
- Plan YWCA special events together with other YWCA team members and volunteers
- Coordinate details, event promotions, invitations, etc.
- Provide event-day support with occasional evening or weekend work
- Support external events where YWCA Saskatoon is involved
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Business college diploma or one or more years of experience
- Strong computer skills and clerical accuracy
- Intermediate or better Excel skills
- Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge donor database and/or accounting software is an asset
- Events experience is an asset
