e4c’s Wellness Network is looking for a manager ready to collaborate with partner agencies and peer workers to bring wellness supports and recovery-oriented programming to the community. This new position offers the opportunity to develop creative and innovative ways to deliver programs and peer driven courses that combine professional skills, lived experiences, peer support, and peer navigation.

If this sounds like you, here’s what your days will look like:

• You’ll be managing the daily operations of the Wellness Network and its activities across Edmonton and area in collaboration with Alberta Health Services, community partners, and people with lived experience. This includes community meetings and facilitating program development.
• You’ll be managing the ongoing development of the Wellness Network Recovery College and overseeing the Wellness Network website and social media channels to promote activities in alignment with community partners.
• Providing guidance and support for the Wellness Network Coordinator, who coordinates and promotes the Network partners’ programming and activities, and who supervises an interagency Peer Navigator team that delivers peer-focused programming, groups, presentations, and projects.
• You’ll engage with peer workers, facilitators, learners, and other stakeholders to co-develop programs, services, and recovery college courses and encourage their capacity for growth.
• You’ll facilitate a cross-agency and internal community of practice for wellness, life skills, and community development practitioners that aligns with e4c’s foundational commitments.
• You’ll participate and show leadership in strategic interagency working groups, including the Recovery College Collaboration Committee, Community Mental Health Action Plan, and Living Hope Community Plan to Prevent Suicide in Edmonton.

You have a keen eye for opportunity and enjoy collaboration with multiple stakeholders. Your experience with persons served puts you in a comfortable position to express patience and compassion for others, which allows you to be present with your peers. You’re a natural, confident, and reliable leader and most importantly, you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of others.

Skills that you bring to the table:

You’re comfortable managing your team in all aspects of recruiting, training, payroll, OH&S, as well as developing and monitoring the operational plans and budgets for the Wellness Network. You can confidently align Wellness Network programming with e4c’s strategic goals and can support your team with them in mind. You can facilitate proposal writing and reporting for project funding in alignment with the Communications and Sustainability team. Experience with marginalized, high risk, and vulnerable populations is required Other lived experience and working knowledge of wellness and recovery-oriented practices is considered an asset. Equivalences may be considered with a combination of work experience and education.
