The Role:

The Family Centre is currently hiring a Supervisor in Family Support Services, with the Collaborative Service Delivery model. This position will support front-line staff in providing direct services to families who have Children’s Services involvement. Front-line service teams either focus on the immediate family (Family Connectors, Youth Connectors, and Family Capacity Builders) or on the extended family (Family Engagement Facilitators, and Kinship Support Workers) and as such this position may have one of these two focuses. This position reports to the Manager, Family Support Services.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Human Services field, with related experience
• Experience working with Children’s Services
• Experience working with people from diverse cultures
• Requires knowledge, skills, and abilities to work with people affected by trauma
• Requires knowledge of and competence in delivering trauma informed care
• Knowledge, skills, and ability to work with people who have experienced trauma
• Experience with hiring, onboarding, training, and supervising staff

Mandatory Requirements: 

• Police Check and Child Welfare Intervention Record Check completed within the last 6 months
• Our Children Are Sacred Youth Suicide Prevention Training or ASIST Suicide Intervention Training, required within 3 months of start date
• Registration with a professional body, if eligible (such as RSW)

Key Responsibilities:

• Interviewing, orienting, and trainings front-line service providers
• Supervise a team of front-line service providers
• Provide proactive guidance, direction, and support to staff
• Build and maintain strong effective staffing teams
• Promote staff engagement
• Are responsible for providing trauma informed care
• Collect, review, and maintain client and personnel data, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency, to help meet agency quality improvement, evaluation, and reporting requirements.
• Monitor and review staff performance on an on-going basis in compliance with agency policies and professional standards
• Participate actively in partner collaboration meetings
• Complete administrative responsibilities; including editing reports, auditing files, and maintaining accurate client and service provider information

Compensation:
