JOB DESCRIPTION

Funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, Employment Ontario services are available to assist both job seekers and employers.

As an ODSP Job Developer/Job Coach, you will:

  • Support ODSP clients with finding and maintaining employment
  • Provide job coaching, employment and training needs assessment and case management
  • Develop Service/Training plans
  • Negotiate placements and mediate issues
  • Market the program to local employers
  • Contribute to program success by collecting data, reporting on retention milestones, and achieving performance- based funding targets

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30 am-4:30 pm (some weekends and evenings)

Training: Initial comprehensive training related to all aspects of the role, as well as access to ongoing professional development

A note about COVID-19:  Our Agency is committed to the safety of staff. Annual salary:  starting at $43,388 plus comprehensive benefits

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Have a college diploma in the Human/Social Services or Business field, with a Career Practitioner/Job Development certificate an asset
  • Have a minimum of 1 year experience in a related field
  • Be proficient in MS Office and be familiar with databases
  • Have access to reliable transportation
  • Be able to manage occasional exposure to vicarious traumatic stress
  • Provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19
