Position: Chairside Dental Assistant or Certified Dental Assistant

Hours: Temporary position – 3 days a week with a possibility for extension

Wage Range: $23.00-28.00


Position Summary


REACH Dental Clinic is committed to providing a comprehensive range of oral care services of the highest quality to all its patients. Accountable to the Dental Manager, the Chairside Dental Assistant/Certified Dental Assistant plays a key role in maintaining the warm, friendly environment for which we are known.  The Chairside Dental Assistant/Certified Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting dentists during examination and treatment of patients and performing regular CDA’s duties.

Qualifications and skills

  • Graduation from a recognized CDA program and registration with the College of Dental Assistants.
  • 2 years’ experience working in a dental clinic preferred.
  • Experience working with vulnerable and marginalized populations
  • Demonstrates a commitment to the social determinants of health and anti-oppression being the foundation for patient care
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Good communication skills to liaise between the clinical team and reception team
  • Flexible, with a good work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of Power Practice an asset.
  • Ability to speak more than one language is an asset.
