Place des Arts is seeking a committed, enthusiastic and qualified Musical Theatre Instructor who is passionate about art and teaching children and teens.

 

The successful candidate will teach classes to ages 3 to 14 during our September 2023 to June 2024 season. The successful candidate must be available to teach on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Classes are held in person at Place des Arts.

Place des Arts provides quality arts education in visual arts, music, dance and drama for all ages and skill levels. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of post-secondary education in theatre arts, experience working in industry and/or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years teaching experience working with children and youth of various ages and abilities

REMUNERATION

Starting at $40 per hour. Instructors are contracted to a self-employment agreement. Place des Arts coordinates studio space, scheduling, registration and program promotions.

 

REQUIREMENTS

All employees are required to obtain and provide a Police Information Check with a vulnerable sector check prior to commencing work.
