About Us

Ossington Pentecostal Church is a Pentecostal congregation affiliated with the Canadian Assemblies of God, located in the inner city of Toronto. We serve a culturally and ethnically diverse congregation with members from all around the GTA. OPC is passionate about reaching people with the good news of Jesus Christ. We are a vibrant growing congregation and we are seeking a Lead Pastor who will join us in caring for the congregation through their spiritual/servant leadership as well as launching outreach and evangelism using its newly renovated facility to see others in the community come to Christ.

Scope of Responsibility

The candidate will be responsible for the spiritual growth of the congregation by being the prime communicator in the Sunday worship context, preaching and teaching God's word.

This individual will lead the congregation and church board with the vision, having a proven track record of implementing vision and mission in their previous experience with evidence of lasting growth and congregational health. 

Along with the church board, the candidate will develop growth goals to facilitate the numerical growth of the church by first-time converts.

The candidate will manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the church, creating and implementing budgets based on vision and mission.

Working with paid and volunteer staff, the individual will be responsible for overseeing ministries and their leaders, providing mentoring, coaching, and spiritual guidance, and leading bible study.

The candidate will be responsible for pursuing the visibility of the church in the community and raising the profile and influence of the church in the city of Toronto. They will also facilitate relationships on behalf of the church with the denomination, representing them at denominational events.

Qualifications

· Minimum of 5 years but preferably 10 plus years of demonstrated successful pastor leadership in a church/ministry context.  A proven track record of ministry in a multicultural setting, having implemented outreach and evangelistic efforts that contributed to the growth.

· A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution

· Must qualify for Licensed Minister credentials with the Canadian Assemblies of Canada.
