part time - temporary / contract  •  Starting at $40 per hour.

Place des Arts is seeking a committed, enthusiastic and qualified Dance Instructor who is passionate about art and teaching children and teens.

 

The successful candidate will teach adult ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop classes during our 2023/2024 season. Candidates must be available to teach on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM from September 2023 to June 2024. Classes will be held at our satellite location, Evergreen Cultural Centre.

Place des Arts provides quality arts education in visual arts, music, dance and drama for all ages and skill levels. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of post-secondary education in dance, experience working in the dance and performing arts industry and/or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years teaching experience working with various ages and abilities

REMUNERATION

Instructors are contracted to a self-employment agreement. Place des Arts coordinates studio space, scheduling, registration and program promotions.

 

REQUIREMENTS

All teachers are required to obtain and provide a Police Information Check with a vulnerable sector check prior to commencing work.
