Do you have passion for creating social media content and building connections through social media? Are you experienced in web site administration and marketing data analytics? Are you interested in public policy and have a good understanding of Canadian public policy? Do you want to work with a non-profit non-partisan organization?

  • Improve quality of the Institute’s digital content
  • Manage C.D. Howe’s digital properties
  • Create new digital content
  • Gather and analyze social media data
  • Have the opportunity to wear multiple hats and grow as our team grows

 The Candidate

 Must-haves

  • 3+ years’ experience managing multiple social media channels while providing marketing insights from social media data analytics
  • 3+ years’ experience in website administration and website content management
  • College or university degree design, marketing, communications, public affairs, or similar
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite software for graphic design, video and audio editing
  • Social media account management and content creation experience
  • Project management across multiple platforms
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Initiative and proactiveness
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with accuracy
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team player
  • Interest in and understanding of Canadian public policy

Nice-to-haves

  • HTML, CSS, Python, JavaScript
  • Google analytics, SEO marketing
  • Comfortable operating AV equipment
  • Photography
  • Previous CRM experience (C.D. Howe Institute uses Salesforce)
