We need a Full-time Site and Facilities Manager to manage the general maintenance and development of the buildings, systems, grounds, vehicles, machinery, and custodial services. The candidate needs strong organizational and project management skills to plan and execute urgent, medium, and long-term goals. The manager must identify challenges and opportunities to pre-empt risks and vulnerabilities while continually improving the organization's assets.
 
Joy Bible Camp seeks a partner who sees the organization as a ministry and understands its missional activities are expressed through conferencing and camping activities. The position has seasonal demands and an on-call component. Joy Bible Camp hiring a Site and Facilities Manager.
 
Job Outline:

Full-time Site and Facilities Manager to manage the general maintenance and development of the buildings, systems, grounds, vehicles, machinery and custodial services.  The candidate needs to have strong organizational and project management skills able to plan and execute urgent, medium and long-term goals.  The manager will need to identify challenges and opportunities to preempt risks and vulnerabilities while working towards the continual improvement of the organization's assets.

 

Job Role:

~ Leading a broad range of maintenance activities through procurement or oversight of skilled tradesmen, volunteers, site staff or self-completion.

~ Ability to perform and prioritize multiple services, urgent demands and projects in a fast-paced and high-volume environment meeting our intentional hospitality commitment to clients.

~ Maintain all processes and tasks including but not limited to water management, plumbing, electrical, safety, carpentry, repairs, groundskeeping, waste management, upgrades, building and compliance criteria.

~ Competency as a handyman committed to making all site features and assets efficient, maintained, beautiful, and safe to professional standards of maintenance, repair and upkeep.

~ Source, manage and develop an extensive network of volunteers to support extensive tasks, projects and development of the facilities.

~ The position requires you to work closely with a functional and cross-functional team.  To meet the primary missional objectives of the organization you may be required to participate in activities outside of the regular scope of duties.

~ Budget Management - Collaborate and relate with the accounting officer to support budgetary objectives and meet infrastructure maintenance and development needs.

 

Personal Development commitment:

The candidate will need to achieve the following:

1.) Operations of Small Drinking water systems certification. (within 6 weeks)

2.) General Knowledge of Forestry management (through local experts over time)

3.) Boating training and license. (Within one year)

4.) Legislated compliance requirements that may arise.
