Job description

• 8 week internship
• Start date: May 20, 2023
• Hours per week: 35

Responsibilities:

• Answer questions from asylum seekers who come to the office in person, on the phone and via email;
• Assist refugee claimants in completing their application to the Refugee Protection Division and their application for social assistance and work permits;
• Conducting research in the IRB's national binders of documentation;
• Conducting case law research for asylum applications and reporting to counsel;
• Perform administrative case management.

Skills required:

• French & English (written & oral), 3rd language a plus, ideally Spanish
