Humainologie is looking for a skilled administrative services professional with experience in the non-profit sector who will be responsible for providing financial, administrative, and office support to organization employees, including the CEO.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a casual, contract position; 24-32 hours a month for a one year term. You must have access to a car, computer, and phone in order to perform this role. While most tasks can be performed remotely, this is a hybrid role that requires being located in Calgary, Alberta for occasional in-person work.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining nonprofit/charitable registrations and filings.
  • Filing and organizing documents.
  • Composing and/or editing correspondence, reports, presentations, marketing materials, etc.
  • Assisting with grant applications and reporting.
  • Event planning and implementation support.
  • Setting up meetings.
  • Handling pickups and deliveries of items as needed.
  • Managing office inventory, including all retail merchandise.
  • Processing and fulfilling online store orders.
  • Liaising with the Bookkeeper and assisting with some financial reporting tasks.
  • Handling banking functions.
  • Handling expense reporting for employees.

Additional Information

  • Mileage reimbursement will be included.
  • Some very occasional evening and weekend work for events.

Compensation: $28-$34 per hour, dependent on experience.

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Administrative experience in the non-profit sector, particularly with registrations and filings.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel in particular).
  • Comfortable working independently with little supervision while being a collaborative and communicative team member.
  • Ability to do some moderate lifting.
  • Understanding of the functions of nonprofits and charities is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Canva and Shopify is an asset.
