About You
You are interested in gaining experience in a human resources department and keen to put your education to use. You are an incredibly detail-oriented individual who enjoys organizing information, communicating information, and ensuring tasks are getting completed. You have a friendly demeanour, with a positive attitude, take initiative and enjoy being helpful. You are excellent at multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, and collaborating with others. You are tech-savvy and comfortable working on digital platforms such as SharePoint and human resources information systems (HRIS). About the Role

  • Provide on-going administrative support and development of support materials for People & Culture Team
  • Experience full cycle recruitment, including updating job postings and interview guides, and pre-screening resumes
  • Update internal SharePoint and HR-related systems
  • Assist with HR orientation and onboarding for new staff
  • Maintain relationships with colleagues across BGC Canada’s National office to stay informed of best practices, and to ensure employee engagement


Our Ideal Candidate

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Human Resources management program
  • Demonstrated experience working and/or interacting with various key stakeholders, including members, colleagues, volunteers, board of directors, etc.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of design software such as Canva, an asset
  • Experience working in an association or not-for-profit environment is considered an asset
  • Tech-savvy with a high-level proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Fluency in French is considered an asset


  • Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
  • Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
  • Satisfactory clearance under the Vulnerable Sector Screening Process
  • BGC Canada requires all employees to be fully vaccinated
