Hours of Work:                   
35 hours per week

Rate:                                     
$18.00 per hour

Reports to:                          
General Manager, Membership Growth Initiative

 

Nature and Scope:

Reporting to the GM, Membership Growth Initiative, the Healthy Eating Coordinator provides assistance in the creation of YMCA at Home’s EatPlantJoy meal plan program. This role will support, learn, and grow by working as part of the digital wellness team.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Create healthy and simple plant-based recipes.
  • Assist in the administrative tasks needed in the creation of the meal plans.
  • Assist in the preparation, presentation, and photography of the meals (location dependent).
  • Work with our content leaders to aid in the creation or sourcing of content such as blogs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications/Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Currently enrolled/or completed post-secondary education in nutrition, dietetic, or culinary arts.
  • Experience in plant-based nutrition
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Competency with Microsoft Office programs and Outlook
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start date
